The meeting included some verbal confusion while the presenter read the allocation; the motion before the council referenced a $1,220 total to be distributed to the two scholarship funds.
Motion and vote: Councilor Mackenzie moved to accept and expend the donation of $1,220 from the Barrick Christiansen Trust pursuant to RSA 31:95‑b and Charter Article 8, Section 15 and to allow the town manager to sign related documentation; the motion was seconded and passed 6-0.
Town staff said the welfare department will work with Parks & Rec to distribute scholarships following established procedures for needy families. The council thanked the donor for the contribution.
