The Gautier City Council on July 1 voted to table a property-owner-initiated rezoning application for property on Old Spanish Trail to the council’s July 15 meeting at the applicant’s request.

City staff said the applicant requested the item be tabled to July 15 and that all participants in the public hearing had been contacted. The rezoning request, described in the agenda as a change from R-1 (low-density single-family residential) to Planned Urban Development and an amendment to a previously approved plan, was identified by GPC number 20-5-27-RZ in the meeting record.

Council moved to table the item; the motion passed by voice vote. No substantive public debate took place at the July 1 meeting because the applicant requested the delay. The council directed the matter to appear on the July 15 docket for further consideration and public hearing as required by local procedure.
