CIP committee adds Sept. 22 meeting, plans to split department presentations ahead of Oct. 21 plan

She said the next meetings include Aug. 15 (police, SAU and fire) and Oct. 7 (highway, IT) before the Oct. 21 presentation to the town; members agreed to add a meeting on Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. to provide more time for review.
Committee members said splitting heavy presentations across meetings would allow the Oct. 7 session to be dedicated to finalizing the CIP plan. Karen Arenberg said she would contact remaining departments to propose alternate dates so Highway or other large departments could come on Sept. 22. Roger Sample noted scheduling constraints — for example, Todd is on vacation and some departments requested September dates to avoid conflicts.
Direction and assignments: The committee asked staff to reach out to police, the School Administrative Unit (SAU), fire, Highway and IT to see whether presentations can be moved earlier than originally scheduled so the Oct. 7 meeting can be used primarily for committee deliberation. No formal vote was recorded; participants agreed to add the Sept. 22 meeting by consensus.
