KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — Representatives of the sheriff’s office told the board Tuesday they are pursuing a contract amendment with Compass Direct Healthcare for medical staffing, plan to buy patrol scheduling software, and presented an annual grant for offender address and residency verification.
Devin Duncan, sheriff's office, said the Compass Direct Healthcare amendment modifies an existing contract the county has for nurses and medical staff; in his words, “This contract is already an existing 1 we have for our nurses and medical staff with Compass Direct. The only thing we're changing in this amendment is just verbiage to allow them to have more.” The transcript cuts off the sentence; the item was presented as an amendment request.
Nancy Schapp, sheriff's office, described a purchase request for Vectors Solutions scheduling software, noting the current patrol schedule is managed on a spreadsheet that requires significant staff time. “This is to purchase a scheduling software. Right now, the patrol schedule is done on a spreadsheet that takes a little bit of, manpower,” she said.
Staff also presented a request to approve a resolution awarding grant funding pursuant to the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) for the registered offender address and residency verification program for 2025–26. The presenter said this is an annual WASPC grant the county receives to support address and residency checking for registered offenders.
The transcript records these presentations but does not show recorded votes or final contract executions during the meeting.
