Smotherson said the engineer is also considering pedestrian walkways along Olive in front of Heman Park and the area near Snooks (the speaker corrected herself during remarks) to improve safety and connectivity. She also said the engineer was "considering putting in a concrete median" so that vehicles cannot make those left turns in either direction.
Smotherson asked City Manager Mr. Rose and city staff to follow up; she offered to coordinate meetings with MoDOT and staff to review options. No formal council action was recorded during the report.
