The Blue Springs City Council on Jan. 7 approved five ordinances affecting municipal code and public works projects.
At the meeting the council adopted: an ordinance adding section 380.145 (alteration/production/sale of an invalid insurance card); an ordinance adding section 220.861 (possession of a defaced firearm); amendments to section 385.05 (seat belts) in the municipal code; an ordinance accepting permanent and temporary construction easements for the 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) sidewalk program (project 240901); and an ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring permanent sanitary sewer easements and temporary construction easements for sewer extension, authorizing the city administrator to obtain and execute instruments by negotiation or, if necessary, condemnation.
