The Jefferson City Council held a first reading on a planned-unit development (PUD) plan and final subdivision plat for Phase 1 of Savannah Place, a subdivision north of Rainbow Drive. The phase reviewed would create about 12 new single-family lots, most configured as attached townhome-style units (two units per lot), with one standalone single-family lot in the first phase.
City planning staff said Phase 1 matches the approved preliminary plan and that planning and zoning approved the final plan by a 7–0 vote. The first phase includes a Rainbow Drive connection and compact lot layouts that required limited setback relief to accommodate a more compact subdivision pattern. Staff said later phases will extend from the initial connection as development proceeds.
Council did not take final action during the meeting; the ordinance was presented for a first reading and will return for further consideration.
