Deborah Schettler re-elected chair; Lowell Moore chosen vice chair of Salina review board

At its Sept. 3, 2025 meeting the Law Enforcement Citizen Review Board re-elected Deborah Schettler as chair and selected Lowell Moore as vice chair.

A member moved to retain Schettler as chair; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board then nominated and elected Lowell Moore to serve as vice chair; that motion likewise passed by voice vote. Board members discussed the vice chair role briefly, and staff reassured members that staff would assist new leaders with procedural questions.

Schettler is serving another term as board chair; Moore will assume vice chair duties to fill the vacancy left by the prior vice chair, who left the board. The meeting record shows the chair and vice chair selections were made as part of the annual organizational items required by the board's operating guidelines.
