Commission approves two liquor license transfers including downtown Toasted Frog sale

Staff said the FA license originally issued in early 2014 at the Mexican Village location was eligible for transfer and that the Liquor Control Board recommended approval of its transfer to Golden Empire doing business as Phoenix Buffet at 3155 43rd Street South. No public comments were raised during the hearing and the commission approved the transfer on roll call.
The commission also approved the transfer of a FARZ license for the Toasted Frog to a new licensee while allowing the operation to continue as a going concern in the same location, consistent with previous FARZ transfer policies where the business concept and menu are maintained. Staff told commissioners the background checks and Liquor Control Board review were complete and recommended approval.
Both transfers passed on roll call votes.
