Petroncola’s comments — captured in a consultant letter to the board — framed the project as an example of how compatibility standards should be applied, and the board directed the applicant to continue refining porch details, column profiles and material choices to align with nearby buildings. The applicant said the owner agreed to decorative column details and will supply a more detailed column specification.
No final vote or SEQR action was taken at this meeting. The board and consultant indicated they would follow up with a detailed review of façade detailing at the next session.
