Notice to proceed issued for Fauquil trunk sewer rehab; contractor begins cleaning and televising

The Contract and Supply Committee recorded that a notice to proceed has been issued to National Water Main Cleaning for the Fauquil trunk sewer rehabilitation and that the contractor has begun preliminary work. The city engineer did not add further comment beyond confirming the notice. "Essentially, they're working now cleaning and televising so they can set up the actual ceiling work. So they are ... they have begun operations," said a staff member. The committee noted the issuance of the notice to proceed and that cleaning and televising are underway; no vote or budget amendment was taken at the meeting. Staff said they would provide updates as the contractor completes the preparatory work and the city moves to the next construction phase.
