The engineering work was described as a cost‑to‑complete task delivered through a civil engineer affiliated with the county’s design firm; staff said the work should be completed within about a month of execution.
County Manager said the rec center grand opening is planned for the afternoon before the October commission meeting and that the public ribbon cutting will include a construction timeline video and catered food. Commissioners approved the engineering work and a separate motion to surplus an older 2018 Grand Caravan that staff said is uneconomical to repair.
