Erath County commissioners on Aug. 11 approved several routine land-development items covering subdivisions, revised plans and short extensions.
The court granted a six-month extension for Tres Cruces RV Park (Precinct 1) after the owner purchased adjoining land and delayed development; Commissioner Stevens moved to approve the extension and the court voted in favor.
The court approved a revised plan for Outlaw Ranch LLC (Precinct 1) to reflect an additional dwelling and new road names, and accepted final inspections for a septic system already installed. Commissioners also approved a six-month extension for Wylie Cabins on County Road 393 (Precinct 2) while the owner attempts to sell or remove additional cabins that had been placed and had created uncertainty about completing the revision process.
In Precinct 3 the court approved a variance request for Faith Marie Estates to allow a gravel road and chip-seal approach for a four-lot cul-de-sac, consistent with a previous development pattern, after staff presented the engineer’s request. The court also approved a replat to restore Lot 436R into Lots 435 and 436 in Mountain Lake Section 2 to return the property to its original two-lot configuration.
All motions were made, seconded and approved on the court floor.
Ending: County staff said the approvals follow routine review and recorded inspections and are intended to avoid forcing property owners to restart development processes after changes in ownership or timing.
