Erath County Commissioners Court on June 23 approved a bid from DFW Paving for overlays in the Mountain Lakes area, awarding the contract at $252,900.

Commissioner Edwards presented the project, describing a 3-inch overlay at multiple locations and noting that only one contractor submitted a bid. “It's $2.65 a square foot for a 3 inch overlay,” Edwards said, and recommended proceeding because the work is needed.

Commissioner Edwards moved to accept the bid; Commissioner Buck seconded. The court voted unanimously to approve the contract and authorized staff to execute the work under the awarded bid.
