Weatherford — The council approved a conditional‑use permit and matching preliminary plat for Holiday World to operate an RV sales and display lot at 2328 East Interstate 20, a roughly 26.31‑acre property, subject to the same conditions as a prior CUP and with a plat correction to show an access easement.
Planning staff explained Holiday World previously received a CUP for RV sales but let the approval lapse; the applicant returned to request reauthorization. The site plan shows dealer display along the interstate frontage, customer parking, screened service areas and used‑RV storage interior to the site. Planning staff said service work would be enclosed behind screening and that the applicant agreed to conditions carried forward from the prior approval, including limitations on temporary banners and other high‑visibility promotional devices along the corridor.
Public‑safety access: Council members raised questions about ingress and egress and whether dual access to Bankhead would be completed before a certificate of occupancy is issued. Planning staff confirmed the applicant agreed that an additional ingress/egress point would be secured and required before final occupancy is granted.
Plat correction: Staff recommended approval of the preliminary plat but said one easement was not shown correctly and must be corrected before recording; council made the plat approval conditional on that correction.
Outcome: Council voted to approve the CUP with the conditions shown and approved the preliminary plat conditioned on correction of the access easement. Staff will enforce the screening and access requirements during permitting.
