City Hall to close Sept. 5 for HVAC rooftop work, officials say

City Manager Charles Lino told the Pecos City Council Aug. 28 that renovation work on City Hall—s HVAC systems will begin the week of Sept. 5 and that City Hall will be closed on Friday, Sept. 5 because contractors will shut power to tie in rooftop equipment and use cranes at the building.
Lino said the closure and crane work are necessary for unit placement and electrical tie-ins and that the city will notify the public. The manager asked staff to "blanket" notice to ensure council and the public are aware of the closure date.
Council acknowledged the notice and asked staff to communicate closure and service impacts to the public ahead of the scheduled work.
