Superintendent proposes joint board–staff review of district mission and vision (Results 1)

Superintendent Holman told the Lake Washington School Board on Monday that the district will begin a process to revise its mission and vision — the board’s Results 1 policy — and asked the board to provide input on values and stakeholder engagement as staff lead the work. Holman said the current Results 1 language — which states each student will graduate prepared for college, the global workplace and personal success — reflects an earlier era and may not capture current priorities such as social-emotional learning, student agency and equity.
