MPO staff reported progress on the agency website, requested headshots for board and TAC members, and asked policy-board members to help publicize an online traffic survey that will inform the MTP call for projects.
"We do have the link for the survey. We haven't gotten as much traction with this yet. So we are asking each one of you to help us out with this," Mayor Adam Valdez said while relaying staff’s request for outreach. Staff said the website will host planning documents, contact forms for public comment, and the final UPWP once state and federal approvals are received.
The MPO director also announced a regional, joint-entity meeting at 3 p.m. in the same location focused on Highway 57; the meeting is intended to produce a unified local position to present to TxDOT for prioritization. City Manager and other participants described the 3 p.m. meeting as a coordinated advocacy effort similar to a previous effort on Loop 480, and said they hope local jurisdictions will present a single regional voice to TxDOT.
Finally, staff offered to take headshots for board members at City Hall if preferred and noted they will continue posting planning documents and contact options on the MPO website to support public involvement.
The director’s report concluded with an invitation to stakeholders to attend the 3 p.m. Highway 57 discussion, which staff called a regional connectivity and transportation-priority meeting.
