The City of Eagle Pass Planning and Zoning Commission on June 18 unanimously elected Priscilla Fuentes as chair and appointed Mr. Valero as vice chair before approving minutes from its June 4 meeting.
The commission convened at 5:38 p.m. with five members present and confirmed a quorum. A member moved to nominate Priscilla Fuentes to serve as chair; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. A subsequent nomination and second for Mr. Valero as vice chair also carried unanimously.
The appointments clear the way for the commission to proceed with public hearings and other business. After the officer elections, the commission reviewed the minutes from its June 4 meeting. A member moved to approve the minutes, the motion was seconded and the minutes were approved by voice vote.
The votes on both appointments and the minutes were unanimous with all five members present voting in favor. No dissent or conditions were recorded on the record.
