The Eagle Pass Transportation Policy Board on Wednesday approved reimbursement to the City of Eagle Pass for administrative support services provided to the MPO, recording three affirmative votes and one abstention.
Mister Adris (finance staff) presented a conservative estimate of administrative costs and said the amount presented represents a minimum administrative reimbursement. He explained the breakout includes payroll processing, purchasing, accounts payable, financial reporting, IT, legal and human resources support. The finance calculation presented an annual amount of $13,990.44.
Commissioner Olga Ramos moved to approve the reimbursement as presented. Board members voted to approve the measure with three in favor and one abstention; the record lists Mister Omero Valeras as the abstention. Board discussion described the amount as "very conservative" and appropriate as a starting point for negotiations between the city and the MPO.
Board members indicated they are open to negotiating a different indirect-cost arrangement in the future. The reimbursement will be processed annually by the City of Eagle Pass as the MPO’s fiscal agent.
