The Manville Planning, Development & Zoning Commission voted 5-0 to direct staff to provide written statements to applicants documenting the conditions for any conditional approvals and the reasons for any plan disapprovals, consistent with Local Government Code §212.0091.
A commissioner moved to adopt the directive; the motion passed unanimously. Staff and the commission said the motion is intended to formalize communication and ensure applicants receive the written rationale required by state law for conditional approvals and denials. Planning staff said copies of the staff report and the list of 13 conditions for the Morris Avenue SUP are available on the city website and can be provided to applicants on request.
The motion is procedural and clarifies staff responsibilities in communicating plan review outcomes; it does not itself change approval standards or evidence requirements for future applications.
