City demos Clear Plans capital-project tracker to publish project timelines and progress

City project manager Kelsey Delgado demonstrated July 17 a new capital-project tracker (Clear Plans, by ClearGov) that staff are importing and using to track active and upcoming projects. The system integrates with the city's ClearGov budgeting product and can show project dashboards, phases, action-item progress, photos and documents on a public-facing portal.
Delgado showed two live examples: Willow Wind / Redbud Hill water-line work and a noncapital gateway feature (building/other). Each project record contains phase-based timelines, action-item checklists and financial breakdowns. Staff explained that anything entered on the back-end by project owners automatically populates the public portal and that residents will be able to subscribe to updates.
Staff emphasized internal controls: project owners will be asked to update their projects at least monthly; engineering and finance staff have already helped import budgets and establish the initial project list. Public launch timing was not set to a specific date but staff said they expect to go live within the coming months after completion of a few remaining configuration items.
Why it matters: The tool replaces ad hoc spreadsheets and public static pages with a single source of project truth; staff said it will streamline reporting to council, keep project data consistent with the city's capital budget and improve transparency for residents tracking construction and design milestones.
Ending: Council praised the demonstration; staff will continue configuration and expect to publish the public portal in the near term. Project managers will be required to update records on a recurring basis to keep the public view current.
