Council approves voluntary retirement and separation incentive policies after executive session

After returning from executive session on July 22, the Everman City Council unanimously approved city policies establishing a voluntary retirement incentive program and a voluntary separation incentive program. The council authorized the city manager to set the effective start and end dates for accepting applications for each program. The action followed a closed-session discussion with the city attorney under the attorney-advice exemption. Council then moved, seconded and voted on a motion to approve the two incentive policies as discussed in executive session and to permit the city manager to determine the application window for those programs.
