The Board of Yakima County Commissioners on Aug. 5 approved a consent agenda that included multiple contracts and funding agreements for the 2026 Homeless Housing and Assistance Program (HHAP), labor agreements, surplus equipment declarations and interlocal amendments.
Documents listed in the agenda included agreements with Northwest Community Action Center for coordinated entry, rental assistance, housing/essential needs and eviction prevention; agreements with Rod's House for rental assistance, shelter, coordinated entry, eviction prevention, capital improvements and outreach; agreements with Yakima Neighborhood Health Services for permanent supportive housing, rental assistance, housing/essential needs, outreach, eviction prevention, capital projects and coordinated entry; and agreements with other providers including YWCA, Triumph Treatment Services, Union Gospel Mission, Generating Hope, Lighthouse and Catholic Charities of Yakima. The agenda item also included a large number of individual contract identifiers and GRAMA references as read into the record.
The consent agenda was read into the record by the clerk and then adopted by voice vote. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; commissioners voted "aye" and the clerk announced the consent agenda had been adopted.
Ending: The board did not discuss the individual agreements during the meeting; all named agreements were adopted as part of the consent agenda and will proceed under the usual contract-execution process.
