The board approved a five-year agreement with the California State Parks Over-Snow Vehicle (OSV) program to provide funding for county-contracted trail grooming operations. The agreement covers grooming activities over the next five seasons at a total maximum identified in draft materials as approximately $897,750 spread over five years.

Public Works staff said the draft budget schedule that accompanies the agreement was revised so the East Side grooming line item matched the county’s existing grooming contractor rate; State Parks staff moved funds from other categories to ensure the grooming line item reflected the higher contractor price.

Supervisors authorized the director of public works to execute the final agreement when the county receives the revised, signed contract and assigned an agreement number. The board approved the motion unanimously; staff said they would sign the final agreement and return the contract number for the record.
