Pinetop Lakeside council adopts FY25-26 consolidated fee schedule

The Pinetop Lakeside Town Council unanimously approved Resolution No. 25-17-74 adopting the town's fiscal year 2025–26 consolidated fee schedule, effective July 5, 2025.

Town staff said the schedule was posted for 60 days before the meeting as required by state statute and includes only a few substantive changes from the prior year. Christie, a town staff member presenting the item, said, "It was posted for 60 days prior to bringing it to this meeting per state statute." The police department added a minimum charge for body-worn camera video requests, and collection-center fees for nonresidents were added at higher rates than residents.

The change to body-camera requests establishes a $46 minimum per request, Christie explained, so that short requests that still require redaction and staff time incur a baseline fee. Christie said the nonresident collection-center section contains the "exact same items just at a higher price, for a nonresident." Matt, a town staff member working with the collection center, described operational options under consideration, including an ID scanner to verify residency and relying on regular patrons while staff finalize procedures.

Councilor Heisler moved to adopt the resolution; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. The resolution declares the consolidated fee schedule a public record and sets the effective date as July 5, 2025.

Council discussion included implementation questions for the collection center and a note that the overall fee schedule reflected a roughly 1.5% increase and rounding adjustments because town cash transactions no longer accommodate small coin change. Christie and Matt said staff will finalize operational details before the effective date.
