Staff said the proposal would install three antennas in the shop to improve in-building carrier coverage and one antenna in the office to blanket that area; the quoted cost is $9,328 and includes installation, setup and configuration.
Staff said the problem affects multiple carriers and reported that while a nearby building (802) has usable service, Building 801’s configuration and materials result in poor indoor coverage. Councilmember [unnamed mover] moved to approve the quote; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with Larson — aye; Maxwell — aye; Wazinski — aye; Kent — aye.
Staff said the booster will be installed after authorization and that they may revisit other buildings in future if the issue persists.
