At its July 28 meeting, the City of Kingman Transit Advisory Commission re-elected Jennifer Hays as chair and elected Commissioner Kelly as vice chair for terms that run through the remainder of 2025. The actions were taken by voice vote after nominations and seconds on each office.
The commission also completed its biannual review of the Transit Advisory Commission bylaws and approved changes. Commissioners voted to reduce the commission from seven members to five and to move the regular meeting schedule; the revised bylaws state the commission will meet quarterly on the fourth Monday of January, April, July and October at 3:30 p.m. The change from a second-Monday schedule and the membership reduction were discussed and approved by motion and voice vote.
Why it matters: the bylaws change alters the commission's composition and standing meeting cadence. Commissioners discussed the updated meeting cadence and membership size; no opposition was recorded during the vote. The commission recorded the officer elections and bylaw amendment as approved items and will operate under the revised bylaws immediately.
