Commissioners adopt resolution vacating parts of Favoretta subdivision plat to clear title issues

The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt a resolution vacating portions of the map/plat of Favoretta subdivision affecting Blocks 16, 17 and 18 and certain unnamed alleyways and roadways.
Adam Mingle, Growth Management Director, told commissioners the old plat is an historic map showing unnamed roadways and alleys that were never used for access or utilities. He said the vacation is intended to resolve a title/configuration issue so the property owner can move forward with building. Staff confirmed taxes on the property are current, utility providers provided consent, and notice was given to neighboring property owners.
No members of the public spoke for or against the vacation at the hearing. The board voted to adopt the resolution (motion by Commissioner Hansen; second by Commissioner Pennington) and took no additional conditions. Staff noted that if the board had wanted to deny or continue, members should place reasons on the record, but they instead approved the vacation.
The motion carried unanimously.
