Sheriff reports $1,500 grant application, $55 K‑9 reimbursement and dispatch appointment

Sheriff’s staff also asked the board to approve reimbursement of $55 to Lieutenant Antonio Hoskins Jr. for a National Narcotic Detector Dog Association membership fee the lieutenant paid with his personal debit card on Aug. 6; the board approved the manual check reimbursement. The sheriff announced the appointment of Zoravia Smith as a dispatcher at $17 per hour, effective Aug. 13, and noted several previously approved travel notices for sheriff’s office personnel. Board votes were routine voice approvals; staff did not raise objections or request additional action beyond the approvals recorded in the minutes.
