Tunica County supervisors on Aug. 18 instructed staff to re‑advertise bids for the Expo Center walking trail and set new publication and letting dates after some bidders experienced technical problems submitting materials.
County staff recommended advertising again on Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, opening bids on Sept. 29 with a letting date of Oct. 6. Staff said four plan holders had obtained bid packages; one bidder reported trouble uploading documents and missed the deadline, and staff were not aware of reasons others did not bid.
The board approved the revised schedule by voice vote. Staff told the board that a second‑year package would be made available separately for contractors interested in multi‑year work, and that package pickup will be tracked.
