Hancock County supervisors on July 21 approved several actions related to the sheriff’s office, including a one-year agreement for GPS trackers, a software purchase for inventory, and personnel changes.
The sheriff reported a motion to authorize the board president to sign a 12-month agreement with Acadian Total Security for GPS trackers; the board voted 5-0 to approve that agreement. The sheriff also moved to spread personnel changes on the minutes: several payroll removals and additions were recorded, including the addition of Eli Humphrey as a full-time deputy at a rate of $21.22 per hour effective July 21. The personnel motions carried 5-0.
The board approved a sole-source purchase of an MDE Incorporated software inventory program for $8,675 and authorized necessary budget amendments from narcotics to cover the cost; the motion to authorize the purchase and budget amendment passed 5-0.
