The Apache Junction City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda and recommended two local liquor license transfers to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (ADLC) after staff reported that police, planning and fire reviews found no compliance issues.
Evie (staff) presented both applications. For Cat Wagon Tap & Bottle, staff said the application is for the same location at 2430 W. Apache Trail #4 and that all four reviewing entities — the Police Department, Building and Safety, Planning and Zoning, and Superstition Fire — found compliance. The council received no public comment and moved to recommend approval to the ADLC; the motion passed unanimously.
Staff next presented a series 6 bar liquor license application for Dog Run Saloon at 320 W. Superstition Boulevard. Again, the application reflected new owners at an existing location and staff confirmed the same four entities recommended approval. There were no public speakers on that item and the council recommended approval to the state by unanimous vote.
Earlier, the council approved the consent agenda by a single motion and roll call vote; any items removed for discussion would have been handled as new business but no removals were requested.
Formal actions recorded during the meeting: council approved the consent agenda (unanimous), recommended the series 7 beer and wine bar license for Cat Wagon Tap & Bottle to ADLC (unanimous), and recommended the series 6 bar license for Dog Run Saloon to ADLC (unanimous).
