At the July 14 meeting the Oregon City School District board approved several consent and action items: a revision to the CASE charter memorandum of understanding, the district’s adopted budget and annual operating resolutions for 2025–26, and a list of contracts in excess of $150,000.
Staff told the board CASE requested removal of grade‑level caps contained in the charter MOU while keeping the program’s overall enrollment cap unchanged so the school could accept some out‑of‑district transfers. Board members said they wanted flexibility to keep serving transfer students; the board approved the requested change after a motion and roll call vote.
Business services staff (Mr. Jensen) presented the adopted budget and said an electronic copy is posted on the district website; he asked members to contact him with questions. The board approved annual operating resolutions that identify clerk, deputy clerk and other roles the district uses for financial and administrative authority. Staff said name changes to specific role assignments would be handled by future resolutions if needed.
The board also approved a resolution that authorizes contracts in excess of $150,000 for the 2025–26 school year; staff said these are recurring, sole‑source or cooperative agreements already built into the adopted budget. The board asked that contract lists and dollar amounts be available for review; staff confirmed the contracts were accounted for in the adopted budget.
The CASE MOU motion was read into the record with the specific deletion of one sentence in section A, as provided in the meeting packet. The motion carried on roll call. The board then proceeded to subsequent action items, including the turf contract and other bond updates.
