Dunn County CJCC wins $75,000 state crisis‑intervention grant to expand mobile peer support

The Dunn County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) reported that it has been awarded a $75,000 state crisis intervention grant to expand mobile peer support in partnership with the Wisconsin Milkweed Alliance, the committee heard.

The grant is intended to partner with community entities to reduce suicide and gun deaths and to “enhance the mobile peer support” tied to the Kaleidoscope peer drop‑in center, CJCC staff told the Dunn County Judiciary and Law Committee. The CJCC said the center provides seven‑day crisis support intended to bridge gaps between law enforcement deflection and formal human‑services crisis intervention.
