Edinburg — The Edinburg City Council on Aug. 4 approved a resolution to dedicate a portion of Sugar Road as “Coach Al Ogletree Way” from S H 107/University Drive to Shriner Road and took the action at a special presentation attended by former players and family.

Council voted to approve the resolution during the consent agenda after a brief presentation and a request to move the item forward so the city could show the new sign. The council then posed for photographs with family members and former players, and Council coordinated a public dedication ceremony to be scheduled soon.
