At its June 11 meeting the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners approved several routine orders and grant agreements with little extended debate.
Key approvals:
- Oregon Parks and Recreation Department All-Terrain Vehicle Grant Program Agreement (Tillamook State Forest patrol, 2025–2027): Motion approved to accept the grant to fund three forest deputies year-round with a focus on ATV issues, timber theft and campground enforcement.
- Oregon Parks and Recreation Department All-Terrain Vehicle Grant Program Agreement (Sand Lake patrol, 2025–2027): Motion approved to fund the Sand Lake recreational deputy; county staff said the position’s focus is Sand Lake during peak season and broader forest patrol work when usage declines.
- Order No. 25-032: Road-name request No. 851-25-000018-PLNG to name an unnamed public right of way “Wetland Way”: Board formalized prior decision by adopting the order.
- Order No. 25-033: Reappointment of Lisa Greiner to the Tillamook County Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC): Board approved the reappointment; county staff confirmed she is an active committee member and this is her third reappointment.
Other routine announcements and scheduling items were also recorded, and the board recessed into and returned from an executive session in which no final decisions were announced.
All motions listed above were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
