Tillamook County commissioners on June 11 approved a workforce housing property tax exemption application for Spruce Point Apartments LLC, a multifamily development in Manzanita.
Parker Sammons, housing coordinator in the Department of Community Development, told the board that the application is complete and valid for the county’s workforce housing tax exemption program. He said the project comprises 60 affordable units and includes five supportive housing units intended for households needing ongoing supportive services.
Sammons said the project falls well below the county’s AMI threshold for the exemption. He reported the developer is preparing to announce a groundbreaking date and that a construction timeline should be available soon.
A motion to approve the workforce-housing property tax exemption application was moved, seconded and adopted by the board.
