Prevailing-wage contract awarded for Tillamook County Fairgrounds storm-drain project

Tillamook County commissioners on June 11 authorized a notice of intent to award a prevailing-wage contract to Earthworks Excavation, doing business as Enterprise Northwest Inc., for stormwater improvements at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
Public Works Director Chris Leidy said the project, previously known as the Kilchis House storm drain project, focuses on managing stormwater runoff from the fairgrounds. The county solicited bids, distributing 20 bid packets and receiving five timely responses; Earthworks Excavation was the low bidder at $1,379,060.
Leidy said work is scheduled to be completed this summer by Oct. 31, 2026, barring supply-chain interruptions, and the schedule was structured not to interrupt the county fair. Commissioners noted the winning bidder is a local contractor based in Beaver and voiced support for moving the project forward.
A motion to approve the order awarding the contract was made, seconded and carried.
