PUEBLO, Colo. — The Pueblo County Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 7 approved a resolution renewing a secure transportation vehicle permit for Aspen Ride LLC under the county’s policy and procedures for secure transportation services, county staff said.
"This is a renewal application of an existing license. This was approved last year. There were no issues flagged at the staff level review, or anything from the state that was, that was seen," said Wolney, deputy county attorney (reading the consent item). Staff recommended approval, and the board approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
The item was placed on the consent agenda because it was a routine renewal rather than a new application, staff said. There was no public discussion recorded on the permit during the meeting.
Why it matters: Secure transportation permits regulate companies that transport persons under custody or with security requirements; renewals proceed under county procedures unless staff or the state identifies problems. County staff indicated no issues in its review of Aspen Ride LLC’s renewal.
What happened next: The board approved the consent agenda and took a voice vote. Commissioners recorded affirmative responses and the chair said, "Motion passes."
