The Bedford Town Council on June 11 appointed Daniel Heath as a full member of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission with a term to expire June 30, 2029, and appointed Ed Kamisky as an alternate for the same term.
Staff said the planning board had reviewed applicants and recommended advancing Heath from an alternate slot to the vacant full-term seat and naming Kamisky to the alternate slot. Councilor Bill Carter moved the appointments and Councilor Kathleen Bemis seconded.
The council vote was not unanimous: the chair announced the motion passed with a 6-1 vote and noted an abstention also recorded in the minutes; councilors recorded one recorded opposition. The minutes will show the vote split and the appointments will take effect July 1, per the usual appointment schedule.
Staff explained these statutorily defined four-year terms run July 1 through June 30, and the appointments reflect the planning board’s recommendation.
