The Kardex (automated filing) units were reported as scheduled to ship with an estimated arrival of Oct. 20; the vendor will perform installation. Project managers are measuring the current vault and deed storage to decide whether to move the existing heavy filing units or replace them. Commissioners discussed employee parking in the planned garage, signage placement on the building and tower, furniture installation estimates (roughly $39,000 to receive, move and assemble furniture and dispose of packing), and storage and accessibility for deed records. Staff said they will continue to refine furniture lists and ensure conduit and pull‑boxes are installed now to avoid later concrete cuts.
