Board names Jenna Mapes to fill vacancy; directors outline searches for director of golf and general manager

President Tom Foster announced the board’s selection to fill a recent vacancy: Jenna Mapes was chosen after interviews and an executive session and will be sworn in at the full board meeting later this month.
The action is a formal personnel selection for the RCSC board. Foster said all candidates who provided requested materials were interviewed and the board followed its process of executive-session review before selecting Mapes. “The successful candidate is Jenna Mapes ... she will be ... sworn in, at the board meeting at the end of this month,” Foster said.
On staffing, Foster updated members on the director of golf search: roughly three dozen applicants were screened, a short list of about seven candidates was interviewed by a subset of board members and golf-community representatives, and finalists recently met with the full board. Foster said the board expects to make an offer “sometime this week,” subject to negotiation.
For the general manager role, Foster said the board has decided to use an executive search firm, and Vice President Netassign will provide recommended firms for the board to vet. Director of finance Kevin McCurdy is also recruiting for an HR manager and has been conducting interviews.
Clarifying details: the board ran candidate interviews for the vacancy and followed with executive-session deliberations; Jenna Mapes will be sworn in at the end-of-month board meeting; the director-of-golf finalist interviews and GM search-firm selection are ongoing and not yet finalized.
