The Eugene chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Junction City Garden Club requested closing Greenwood Street at Seventh Avenue for about one hour (10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) on June 21 for a "Never Forget Garden" plaque ceremony; staff confirmed the closure will allow post office access from Seventh Street and requires standard conditions in attachment B.
Carl and Catherine Gooden requested an annual block party closure for Kalmia Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues on June 28 from noon to 7 p.m.; staff said emergency access would be maintained and neighboring owners signed the request.
The Scandinavian Cultural Foundation requested closing Greenwood Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues from June 16' 20 for a day-camp program (up to 50 children); staff and fire/police review raised no objections provided emergency access is preserved and organizers follow the conditions in the packet.
Council approved each request with the standard conditions and nonexclusive use language, and staff will work with event organizers on traffic control and notifications per the attachments.
