County Renews Annual Generator Service Agreement; Small Price Increase Noted

Butler County commissioners authorized the chair to sign the annual generator service agreement with their longstanding contractor after Facilities Management reported the vendor’s familiarity with county equipment and a small rate increase from the prior year.
Travis Cornell of Facilities Management said the county uses the same contractor for annual service and that the company can often troubleshoot over the phone between visits. Commissioners asked whether the vendor inspects generators once a year; Cornell confirmed an annual visit and said the contractor conducts service, sales and checkovers. When asked how much the contract rose, Cornell estimated “it went up like $150 or something like that.”
Commissioner Herzet moved to authorize the chair to sign the annual generator service agreement; Commissioner Masterson seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
