Council approves no-solicitation opt-in list for property addresses in code change

"What this is going to do is provide residents in the community the ability to opt in to mark their property for no solicitation of any kind," the City Manager summarized.
A councilmember clarified the change is intended to cover commercial solicitation and not campaign activity. "This is for people selling something. People who are campaigning can still knock on a door that says no solicitation," Councilmember McCandless said.
Madam City Clerk called the roll on ordinance 25-039. Vote record: all seven councilmembers voted yes. Ordinance 25-039 passed 7-0.
