City clerk recommends appointments to Arts Council, Heritage Commission and Utility Advisory Board

The Independence City Clerk reported recommendations on Aug. 11 to fill and reappoint members to several boards and commissions, and staff asked the council to add a resolution to the next regular meeting to effect the appointments.
The clerk said recommendations have been made to appoint GK Callahan and Donna Knoll to the Independence Arts Council, to appoint Jason Pearson to the Heritage Commission, and to reappoint Les Boatwright to the Utility Advisory Board. Staff requested council direction to place a resolution on the agenda of the next regular council meeting to reappoint or appoint the named individuals.
No vote occurred at the study session; the item was presented as a staff recommendation and will be added to the next regular meeting agenda for formal action if the council so directs.
