Interim Superintendent Hines said staff hoped to know by about July 15 whether funds would be available to contribute to a turf project.
Hines also told the board that an unexpected tuition invoice from Portsmouth for about $18,000 arrived recently for a court‑involved student; she said the district was still determining ultimate responsibility for that charge. Hines cautioned there were other moving parts and said final budget clarity would come after summer payroll processing and remaining reconciliations.
No formal vote was taken on budget items during the meeting; administrators said they would return with finalized figures once year‑end processing was complete.
