Laconia School Board approves three teacher nominations

The board approved the nomination of Kristin Goulet for a fifth‑grade classroom teacher at Woodland Heights; Goulet was described as returning to New Hampshire with 19 years of teaching experience, including 16 years earlier in the region.
The board approved Natalie Como as a special education teacher at Laconia High School. Como, a recent University of New Hampshire graduate, has experience in special education internships, Extended School Year (ESY) programs and Unified Sports support roles.
The board also approved Megan Mitchell as a Pleasant Street School Title I interventionist; Mitchell graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 and has worked in elementary settings with dual elementary and special education certifications.
All three nominations were presented during the meeting and each passed by a 6–0 vote. The board packet and presenters confirmed state certification steps were completed where required; for example, Goulet had completed the switch to New Hampshire credentials before the final interview, according to board discussion.
No amendments or additional conditions were recorded with the approvals.
