Grey Canyon Commissioners Court on July 29, 2025, approved a set of purchasing and contract actions across county departments.
The court approved Contract Amendment 2 for county asphalt (bid 2023‑13). Purchasing staff said asphalt prices had risen to $118 per ton. The court also approved a contract with Rayford's Truck and Tractor for an asphalt overlay on Spinks Chapman Road (bid 2025‑18); that contract follows an earlier bid award on June 24.
Purchasing sought and received authorization to advertise requests for sealed proposals for vending machine services (RFP 2025‑24) and for auxiliary insurance policies (RFP 2025‑23). The court also approved a request to advertise for generator maintenance and repair services (RFQ/RFP 2025‑25) and modified the motion to explicitly include the county parking facility generator in the scope.
The court approved sending 60‑day notice to terminate the contract with Regenerative Services, making the termination effective Oct. 1, 2025. County staff said it is in the county's best interest to move in a different direction; end users attended to answer questions.
The court also approved disposition of miscellaneous county equipment under Texas Local Government Code a7263.152 and a7263.153.
